November 30, 2016 saw the IHASA Executive - Teresa McDowell, Graeme Parsons and Ruth Trigg present an Industrial Hemp Exhibition in the Parliamentary Library prior to the submission of the Industrial Hemp Bill 2016 by Hon Tammy Franks MLC.
The exhibition was a wonderful opportunity to engage with Ministers on the day and showcase the many and varied applications industrial hemp has to offer.
Displays of hemp construction, personal care products, textiles, fibre, seeds, oil, and composites demonstrated the very real environmental and economic potential an Industrial hemp industry could offer.
Regional Advocate Dianah Mieglich attended lending her valuable support for the cause, while young entrepreneur Chris Martin displayed his business and vision for Hemp clothing manufacturing in SA.
We look forward to the vote in 2017 - its time to get growing SA!
